THE TREK

A scenic helicopter flight due North West from bustling Kathmandu Valley flies you over the rhododendron forest covered hillside of the Gosaikunda Foothills before a sharp right turn into a narrow gorge that quickly ascends to the alpine meadows of Ghora Tabela (old summer grazing grounds for the Royal Cavalry). Landing in a stunning meadow right below the wall of rock and ice called the Langtang mountains where your trek crew will be awaiting, kicks off your private adventure.

Trekking amidst breathtaking 360* Himalayan scenery, the forest ablaze with Spring Bloom, with herds of goat antelope ‘Thar’ quietly grazing on steep cliffs, witnessing villagers engaged in their everyday chores, children skipping to school while Lammergiers (Bearded Vultures) cruise effortlessly on warm rising thermals, fill your every day.

Before you know its time to acclimatize to the thin air. Beyond Kyanjin you leave all human settlements to ascend to the quiet and stunning Yala Peak Valley made even more unforgettable by picturesque alpine ponds and a myriad of summits that encircle you.

Its is then time to put your alpine training to practice as you strike for the summit in full climbing gear and then back to base to celebrate your well earned success.

The adventure final culminates with a alfresco breakfast before being picked up by helicopter for an ariel tour of the Langshisha Glacier on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau and a flight back to Kathmandu via the Langtang Valley.
