THE SAFARI & TREK

An hour long flight west of the capital takes you to Nepalgunj from where you drive on the East West Highway to the Bardia National Park. You then drive north to a very quiet part of the Park where our private tented camp lies on the west bank of the Babai River. An excellent spot to see the Royal Bengal Tiger, Rhinocerous and the Asiatic Elephant not very far from your camp. There is also opportunity to fish for the Masheer ‘Tiger of the river’, bird watching, observing wildlife from a Machan, jungle drive or an elephant ride to look for big game.

The safari finishes with a helicopter flight from the Park Headquarters to the beautiful Tiger Mountain Lodge perched on a hill that looks directly at the Fishtail and the Annapurna Mountains. There is opportunity to check out the infinity pool, relax or hit the town before the next part of your holiday.

After a day to relax, a break taking helicopter flight whisks you to spectacular view point, the Tara Hill from where nothing obstructs a 360* view. Have breakfast and take it all in before making your way east through stunningly beautiful rhododendron and magnolia forest in full bloom.

The next few days travel and camp on alpine meadows with mountains soaring above, witness the rich flora and fauna, get spoilt by the friendly and caring trek crew that will care for your every need, embrace the friendly and warm Gurung people and enjoy the freshly prepared well balanced, hygienic and wholesome three course meals our very efficient cook team prepare.

Finally your holiday concludes aptly with another breathtaking helicopter flight to the Lakeside town of Pokhara, a schedule flight to bustling Kathmandu and some quality time to checkout the ancient palaces and sacred sites before you head home.
